 The team that made it to the top and succeeded in achieving the last World Cup title. After beating the Samba dancers 3-0 under Aime Jacquet, the French squad continued to attain greater victories with his successor Roger Lemerre. The so-called Les Bleus won the European Championship in 2000 after beating Italy in one of the best games ever.
The team comprises some of the world's top stars such as Zinedine Zidane, Thierry Henry, Laurent Blanc, Fabien Barthez and many others.
 Senegal
 Ten months after the French coach Bruno Metsu took charge, the Lions of Teranga succeeded in qualifying to the 2002 World Cup finals despite the domestic problems and complaints about overdue player salaries and similar matters.
With a team full of understanding and friendship, the Senegalese squad led by Africa's Player of the Year 2002, Ousseinoh Diouf , are in for a big performance that will definitely give the African football a good name.
 Uruguay
 The South American team was the last of the 32 teams to qualify to the Korea Japan World Cup finals following their victory over Australia in the playoff that took place on November 25. The Uruguayan side's successful qualification means the 2002 finals will bring together all of the former champions for the first time since 1990. The young and new talents of the Uruguayan team will battle to bring the glory that Uruguayan football used to know a few decades ago.
 Denmark
s The Danish national football team had fought their way in a difficult qualifying group out of which they came undefeated. The qualification had a rather more special taste as the young Danish squad were now adapting to playing on the international stage in the absence of former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel and the Laudrup duos.
The Danish squad is led by some excellent talents such as Ebbe Sand, Thomas Helveg, Jesper Gronkjaer and Dennis Rommedahl
